Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
In April we'll be visiting the Grand Canyon then hope to head north on Hwy 89 into southern UT. Trying to research the section of Hwy 64 that goes east from Grand Canyon Village to Hwy 89, wanting to make sure it's suitable for big rigs. Has anyone driven this, if so, any concerns, issues?
Been there, done that. Very good road and suitable for big rigs. Lots of overlooks and, in places, you can see the canyon from high up in the pick-up truck, so just be sure to keep your eyes on the road. :)
Thanks Howard, we're looking forward to it. We're also assuming while we stay in the park we'll visit that area of the park so hopefully it's not the first time we've seen that scenery!!
Last year we did that route in our motorhome and it was a great road. If you are interested we found a great boondocking spot about a half mile before the South entrance to the park. It was complete with visiting elk. I'll send the info if interested.
Also great boondocking on Lake Powell to the North and at Pink Coral Sands before the road to Zion National Park.
It took us 7 weeks and we needed more time to fully enjoy this whole area.

It is a terrific route to take, you will find many others travelling it at the same time in the RV. There is also plenty of great views so have your camera ready!
