Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Winter has arrived in AZ

9" of snow in Flagstaff yesterday. Down to 45° in Mesa tonight! Should warm up this weekend, then another cool down next week.  Make sure to check the weather often this year coming down as there will be waves of cooler/wet/snow weather with the El Nino storms setting up out in the Pacific.   And yes, this area really does need the moisture.

TRAILERKING: Arizona has high elevation areas, like Flagstaff, that are much colder than the lower elevation desert areas that it is famous for. Grand Canyon is in Arizona and its North Rim is closed in winter.

Remember it rarely snows in Victoria BC and makes the news when it happens.

They measure winter in Houston in hours below freezing.  Any time that happens, it's a disaster. Snow isn't their biggest issue... ice storms really mess things up in that neck of the woods.

Our heater is cranking in Fort Mohave!! I think we might be 1 degree warmer than Mesa. Friends in Quartzsite were also posting that it was a chilly morning there.

This is our 3rd November in AZ and I think it's the coldest we've been this early in November. The local weather people were reporting that yesterday's snowfall in Flagstaff was one of the earliest recorded and certainly one of the heaviest for this early in the year, but the local skiers are excited.

This morning it was about the same temperature as what we would have woken up to in the Seattle area, but one BIG difference, we're waking up to sunshine. I can take these temps with blue skies and sunshine vs. gray skies and rain.  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Warmest Nov in a long time.
Better hurry up though when it changes, it changes.
