Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Off to New Mexico

Dana and I are planing to take off for Elephant Butte, New Mexico in the morning should be a good trip checked the weather and it looks good. I can not wait to see all our good friends. Not sure if we will stop for the night anywhere but if we do it might be a Walmart parking lot somewhere along the route. Last year it took about 26 hours for the trip from Sturgis, SD.

Well, I HAVE to presume that you are planning on wintering out there.  Either that or you want to be "first-in-line" for the New Mexico rally in March.  I've heard of "early birds," but I think this may be the earliest.

Seriously, have a safe trip.  Considering the general direction you are going from South Dakota, I'd go as early as possible to miss snowy mountain passes.  I actually envy you.

Stayed at Elephant Butte State Park last spring, beautiful area! Couldn't believe what a bargain the New Mexico State parks were. Safe travels Ray

We made it safe and yes we will spend the winter here, third one. As far as the rally goes we are staying just a hop, skip and a jump from Elephant Butte rv park. Plan to attend the rally however all the planing means nothing untill it actually happens.
