Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Landing Spot in SC, Georgia, or Thereabouts

Our gig here ends November 1 and currently we don't know if we will have another assignment to head to immediately after this one.  If not, we plan to land somewhere fairly close by in the interim.

We are currently in Darlington, SC, about 70 miles west/inland from Myrtle Beach.

Do not want to travel a great distance, as we may end up in Georgia, Arkansas or at least in that general part of the country. Probably not out West.

Looking at South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, southeastern Tennesse.

Looking for a nice, clean park with reasonable rates.  Preferably with laundry, WiFi and cable but those are not must-haves.  Does not need to be a "resort" but just a nice place to sit tight in between jobs.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Betty

We enjoyed Hardeeville RV in Hardeeville SC, just over the border from Savvanah GA. I think their long term rate is quite reasonable.

If N. GA, Timber Ridge CG (passport) just north of Cleveland, GA.  Really nice!  We are headed there a week from today for a week.  One of our favorites.

Coastal GA, Skidaway Island State Park very close to Savannah.  Large sites, woodsy, twenty minutes to Historic Savannah.  Wonderful!

Or as Fred says, just north of Sav. in Hardeeville.  (Passport)

Starting Oct 31 we will be in Vienna GA on a NOMADS project. Keep us informed where you decide to land. Might be in the area. We can compare our frustrations with Keystone!

Modoc Corp of Engineer park about 10 miles NW of Augusta, GA/SC.

Veterans Memorial State Park about 5 miles west of Cordelle, GA.

Lotsa nice places in SE Tenn, but might be a bit cool in the Smokies.

I was raised, notice did not say grew up - refuse to so far, in Augusta on the NW side of town.  Modoc COE is on Clark Hill Lake.  It is no more than 25 minutes to all the ammenities you could need in Augusta, plus the city has now built all the way out to Evans and Martinez which are much closer to Modoc.

If you are planning to spend the winter, be aware it can and does get into the 20's in this area.
