We have some pictures and some other decorative type things that we put up with industrial grade velcro. It works well. Regular velcro will get gooey when the temp in the rv is hot and will slide. We use the button shaped in each corner. They are pretty easy to get off using a hair dryer and some time.

Having collected art work most of our life and having to part with some (others are in storage) we picked out a few of our favorites (ones that would fit into our fiver on the walls) and we have them up all the time even on the road. Hubby used double face tape and a very small nail to keep it balanced....While being at Camping World this wk I see they have a new kind of tape (I think it was a tape) that will hold just about anything....industrial type stuff too.

Everything we have hung on the walls is held by Industrial Strength Velcro. We haven't had any problems. I do check all items to see that they are secure before we leave each location. I would highly recommend this.

Hi,
We do the same. The industrial velcro is really strong. For all the standing knicknacks, we just put them on the bed when towing.
Having some of your favorite art around really makes it "home".

I use 3M Command hooks and mounting strips. I have found they hold very well as long as I clean the surface with alcohol before mounting, per the instructions. I love these things. For things for which a hook isn't appropriate, just using the flat mounting strips works great.

I even use the hooks inside cabinet doors to hang things like the dust broom.

I used Velcro in my previous trailer and found that removing it when I wanted to relocate something and when I sold the trailer was very difficult. I won't do that again.

You can count us amoung the industrial velco crowd. We have up a lot of our pictures and none of them have fallen yet. For our knick knacks we use rubbermaid boxes (about the size of shoe boxes) and wrap them in cheap dish clothes. We also put a lot of pictures on the top of the slides, they go on the sofa when traveling.

We love our photos, and the thought of having a home with no photo's wasn't going to happen. We have room on top of our slides. My husband put 1/4 round moulding on top of the slides. I mounted my pictures in photo mats ( 5x7, 8x10, etc ) and stand them up behind the moulding. No need for velcro. When we travel, I take the photo's down and they lay on the couch. When we are sitting up, the photo's go up quickly and are again out of the way. If you wanted to us Velcro you could, but watch as the slides go in and out.

We too use the velcro to hang the pictures. Be sure to clean the surfaces with alcohol first and heat will make them let go. The industrial strength stuff is better. For the small sculptures, the wife collects eagle sculptures, we secure them to the surface with 'earthquake putty." We found it in Oregon our first summer out and it works great. It holds the small sculptures in place yet stays soft so it can be removed and reused. We had seen it used in display units at RV shows but didn't know what it was. LOL
