Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Don't know how many of you watch RV Today on tv....It was a great 30 min. show that came on Outdoor Life channel that is now Versus channel. Well....when Versus took over, they dropped the show. I really enjoyed it. There are no RVing tv shows out there to watch. I read that many RVers are petitioning to Travel Channel to pick up the RV Today show. If you like that show, I'm encouraging you to email Travel Channel, and let them know that you'd like to see the show on their channel.
Does anyone know of another RVing show that comes on tv??? when and what network?
Maybe I liked that show so much because I could see all the wonderful places they went and all the fun they had.....and keep dreaming to the time we get to do that!
Over on the RV.Net forum there has been considerable discussion about this, some even from the Host of the show, his forum name is "Stewster". Stew is currently petioning other cable channels to carry the show. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe we'll see it in the near future on Discovery or TLC.
Best Regards!

This topic is of significant concern to me. I will not recapitulate what others have said, as they have made their points well.
My suggestion is for as many as will to e-mail the one organization that already has a strong promotion called, "Go RVing", and that is the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). At their industry show last November in Louisville, KY, there was much promotion of this "Go RVing" Program to get people interested in RVing. It seems they would truly recognize the value of "RV Today" and assist the effort to get a cable channel to pick up an air this program.
RVIA members are the manufacturers of RVs, the campground owners, the sellers of ancillary equipment for RVing, as well as the publications or "Press" of the industry. To have this program aired is definitely a boost for the industry, these association members' future and of interest to all of us.
It probably wouldn't have as many re-runs as "RV Today". I'll watch!

Stew is fairly confident that it will be picked up by another channel. Time will tell. Hard to believe the Affinity network would drop such a popular show. It had a lot of support in viewership and also got a lot of press on the rv.net site which is owned by Affinity.
The Outdoor Channel on our cable has a show called RVTV. It is a Canadian Snowbird's take on RV living. They are similar to RV Today in that they usually do a "place" visit, a new product segment and a RV Education 101 segment.
Also the DIY Network occasionally does a show call RV Roadtrip with the RV Doctor. This generally follows a family on an RV trip and then helps others at the campground or park with things that need fixing.
