Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Vinyl Flooring

Hi all !!!

We are newbies and will be hittting the road soon, before we do one of the things I have to do is replace the vinyl flooring in our motorhome. Has anyone gone through this before ? Any hints ?

One of the things I am looking for does anyone know if the vinyl is glued throughout ?

We are driving a Forest River, Georgetown 2005 does anyone have feedback of any kind with any issues with this model ?

Take Care and have a great day.

Bob..

I can't answer about if it is glued throughout but we changed our carpet out for vinyl in the motorhome we had. We bought the really thick stuff that is meant to just float, although you can use some double sided tape on the edges. It is kind of a pain to put in as a single piece, it is difficult to handle and lay. Looks really nice once in though. Using the thicker stuff is a help to prevent tearing so easily while putting in. I think it is Armstrong that makes it.

Bob,

Checkout macandchris.com.  Mac is changing out all of his flooring in a Southwind motorhome.  I'm sure he would answer questions if you emailed him.  If the above website address doesn't work you can find them in the hitchitch.com listings.

You could go to forestriverinc.com and see if there is a "contact us" phone number or email address.  I'm sure they would be willing to answer any questions you have.
