Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
DO ANY OF THE CG OFFER CHURCH SERVIVES? WHEN OUR BOYS WERE YOUNGER AND CAMPING WITH US, WE STAYED AT SEVERAL CG THAT OFFERED CHURCH SERVICES. WE WOULD REALLY MISS NOT GOING TO CHURCH
THANKS, LOIS

Hi Lois, We've only been in one campground that offered services. Shouldn't be a problem for you though, there are always churches in any locality you can use. Fred
We have been so blessed by visiting churches in the different areas we have been in since going full-time in July.
When we get to a town for the weekend, we do an internet search for churches according to the components of the service which are important to us. For example, we prefer contemporary worship. If we're out and about, we'll drive by the church to confirm service times...or call the church if necessary.

I have been to several campgrounds that have services, some only in the summer season. I am only a weekender/long weekender, but since I am preparing to fulltime asap, I was wondering the same thing. I also hear there are some Christian camping organizations out there that promote mission work...

If you find out about the Christian camping assoc which promote mission work, please post the info. I know we would be interested and I am sure there are plenty of others that would want to know as well.
We don't believe in "retirement" per se - just in getting to the point in life when you can work or provide a service (that you enjoy!) for free!!!

Judy and I enjoy visiting local churches in the area. We like contemporary services with worship teams, etc. If we can catch a Sunday School class life even better.

In addition the Escapees RV Club has Birds of A Feather (BOFs) groups for Habitat For Humanity, Christian Fellowship, and DOVE (Red Cross Disaster Relief Operations). These are "certified" BOFs and more information can be found at Escapees Certified BOFs.
Speaking of church services, I have a couple of questions for some of you seasoned fulltimers.
1. Were you long time members of a community church before fulltiming and are you still members of that church?
2. Was it hard to leave that church?
...Don

In this week's "Winter Texan" newpaper, there are 22 RV parks in the area with Church services. You will tend to find seasonal services in warmer areas.
We are at the Green Gate Grove in Mission Tx, and there are Church services every Sunday at 10:30 am. Out West we attended some Churches called Cowboy Church time very well spent. Life is Good....GBY...

We have been RVing for many (almost 40) years and this is what we have seen. As a general rule Many of the privately owned RV parks do have Sunday services, but not all. Most of the state parks, and COE parks do not, freedom of religion, constitutional issues (political) with the state parks and COE parks.
This is one of my pet peeves so I will just end with that and not go into one of my rants. My wife says I have a personal problem.
