Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello I am Bob and my wife is Judy, she is also known as Southwest Judy. We have 2blackdogs that travel with us.
We have sold our home and plan to close early October but we have been on the road since Aug 3rd. We were in Kansas for a few weeks to see daughter and new grandson and are atCochiti Lake, about 50 miles north of Albuquerque. We will be going to Monument Valley and then on to Mesa Verde. We plan to proceed to a little warmer climate after closing on the sale of our home.
We now have a 2002 Mckenzie Medallion 36ft 5th wheel and pull it with a 1997 F250HD. We also travel with a 1997 Chevy Tahoe.
I do know that a lot of the HDT folks do pull toads behind their 5th wheels. Of course they have the horses and torque to do it safely. One of the members here (Jack Mayer) does pull a car behind the 5er. His TV is a 610 Volvo semi and has the power he needs (and stopping power).

Just a note that we DO NOT pull the Tahoe behind our fiver. We shall take it with us and me Southwest Judy will perhaps drive it while following my husband w/truck pulling fiver. We also have an offer by friends to leave the Tahoe at theyre place while traveling full time. Just hate to get rid of it as yet.
Hello adobe dweller We will be going to monument valley next year. If you can please let us know (pm or in forum) where you stay and your impression of the campground. Thanks Happy Travels Tom & Paula
It will be our 3rd trip to Monument Valley and we always stay at Gouldings RV park...it is beautiful and well kept up. There you can get the tours...they also have a lodge down the road away from the RV pk.
