Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are Jackie and Tony from Tampa, Florida. We are exiting the "Rat Race" in less than a month on the 15th September and are going to do a little cruising - the high seas - before we start our fulltime RV'ing experience. Retirement can't come fast enough for us! We bought a 40' Motorhome and a Honda CRV as a toad, sold our rental property (don't want to deal with tenants long distance) and have sold our home to our youngest daughter and her DH,we also split our furniture between our 3 daughters and put a few boxes of hard to get rid of items in our daughters' garage for storage. We are already living in our RV here in Tampa whilst we finish working......but can't wait to hit the trail!! We don't have a set itinerary for the road, other than wanting to spend next summer in Alaska. We're very flexible and if anyone has some awesome ideas for us for the winter months we'll be happy to listen. We have joined Escapees and Passport America.
We have followed Howard and Linda from the before they went on the road and were privelged to meet them here at the Tampa RV Super Show.
Howard and Linda you have been our total inspiration - we are so excited about our soon to be new lifestyle.
... other than wanting to spend next summer in Alaska.
JackieandTony - Don't know if we'll still be here in Anchorage before you arrive next summer, but if you have any questions about Alaska that 20-year residents might be able to answer, feel free to ask!
