Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have seen many people with the expensive Camping world outdoor lounge chairs who like them but bought them when they were on sale. Not fire resistent and a little touchy with the rain but real nice and comfy.

Hi, Camping World has a good selection and many of them are quite large and comfortable. Problem we've found, is that they begin to rust almost immediately. We've returned one already and picked a new model, but it has started to rust within the past month. BTW, we keep them tucked under the nose at night, so they're not getting dew covered.
Travel Chair's "Lounge Lizard" model (sold by REI as previously mentioned and through SEVERAL on line retailers including travelchair.com) is quite durable, weatherproof, and comfy. Though not cheap, Travel Chair seems to provide support for their products forever perhaps making them a very good value. Watch REI (and others) for sales, they do get well discounted and a couple e-tailers on eBay often offer super values (I assume they are legit).
NOTE: I buy a chaise lounger pad from Lowes/Home Depot/Menard/etc. after the season (that means right now- August) for about $15 making these types of chairs really sumptuous.
I would have to answer "No". They tend to push the head forward too much for sitting straight up. Now if you want to sit forward in the seat and not touch your head to the back, you could type at a table. Our opinion is that they really are for reclining.
Here is the link to the recliner page of the LaFuma website: http://www.lafuma.com/lafuma/us/default.asp. There is a store locator, several different styles to choose from, and an accessories link.
Went to LaFuma site (Niches) and ordered 1 lounger. On the site there were 4 RSX XL recliners to choose from, the first being AGAVE MESH...we wanted mesh so went to order 2.....but only 1 available. So since they were on sale for $159 and FREE shipping I ordered the one thinking they would get more in later. I got a confirmation on my order for my RSX XL AGAVE. Next day I went on site and the same AGAVE MESH recliner said backorder so I called. They were back ordered til the end of April or first of May......OK.....we aren't leaving til September, so I ordered another one. Email comes back, so sorry we are backordered on the Agave (mesh part not added now), but we have in stock an AGAVE PADDED chair.....I emailed back, no thanks, I want the mesh recliner and please affirm I will get the back ordered recliner for the $159 plus free shipping. The answer came as, "We just got your recliner in with our shipment and so will ship to you as of 2-28. WHAT SERVICE!!!!
Today I get my first recliner.....AGAVE PADDED.....not what I wanted, call the 1-800-882-9096 number and they tell me.....we've never had a mesh recliner in AGAVE, only the padded one, you must have ordered wrong.....by husband and I both looked at the site, both conferred this would be the one we'd order so when we camp it will be easily dried when it rains. And guess what, I go back to the site and NO AGAVE MESH RSX XL is even listed on backorder, not listed at all. They will replace it with a Forsest Batyline which is their mesh recliner, but I have to return it and pay for the shipping.....guess the one I'll get tomorrow or the next day will be the same padded one.
Guess who couldn't download the order cuz her printer is on the fritz!!! ME of course. But I do have proof as they emailed me....so I returned their emails to them.....not once did Jennifer mention AGAVE MESH recliner, only referred to a replacement to the AGAVE I ordered, gee we have the AGAVE PADDED in stock now. I WANT MESH FABRIC (padded do look comfortable though), we have a space problem and they are smaller in width and easier to clean up, afterall we do have a dog that likes to jump up on things. Why does this stuff happen to me??? I downloaded the picture of the AGAVE MESH and was thrilled with it, if only one, heck I didn't even look to a FORREST BATYLINE (which is mesh fabric), cuz I ordered mesh!!!
So after talking on the phone and getting irate, I re-emailed them a request to send me a FREE shipping label since it's their mistake, not mine, and then I will order a FOREST BATYLINE (2 actually). Am I going to get stuck with the chairs or have to pay shipping....WHY ME!!!!
Last year I bought 2 loungers that seemed essentially the same as those sold at Camping World at Wal-Mart for $50 a piece. We love them! They're comfortable and haven't started to rust as of yet. (We do keep them out of the weather.)
I checked Wal-Mart's site, and didn't see them this year. However, I have found comparable loungers at Target for $79.99: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_38/602-8515309-6614267?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0001LASDM (check their website, as other colors are available) and K-Mart for $69.99:http://www.kmart.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=153185&No=60&Ntt=patio+furniture&Ntk=All&Nao=60&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&N=466&Nty=1
Hope this helps.....
Karen
