Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Time to quit lurking

I'm Kenneth (Ken) ,and my better half (by far) is Cindy, we live in League City Tx. just a few miles north of Galveston and have been following Howard and Linda's adventure since their going away party. I was researching health insurance alternatives and stumbled upon the site. Have not missed a day ! Its great to see someone actually, and honestly post their trials and tribulations ,expenses etc... Its great !!

Howard your literary skills truely amazes me. Each day is another adventure that captivates me and leaves me wanting more. I do think the forum is a great idea,as long as it doesn't interfere with my daily "fix" of your adventures !

We too, are fairly young, 47 (me) and Cindy has celebrated her 29th birthday, 12 times ? Currently and actively working on our exit plan. We have a Class A motor home (gas)we used extensively with our children until they both became adults, and started their own lives. We are very, very proud grandparents of two ,soon to be three little angels.

Our plan is somewhat like Howard and Linda's, sell the house, and the boat and purchase a new class A diesel pusher and start our adventure. Its been our dream for the past seven years to "Fulltime", so this is not been a spur of the moment decision. Lucky for us ,our children decided to leave us and get started on their own lives so soon !

Cindy retired from the medical field (nurse) over a decade ago , and I am a finance director for a auto dealer for the last 17 years, before that I was a custom home builder. I've been on the "hamster wheel" for 27 years straight ,and ready to get off and enjoy the rest of our lives together with my best friend Cindy ,exploring the sights of this great country we have the privilage of living in.

Well enough of the rambling , thanks for the adventure, the site ,and glad to be aboard !
