Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We need to replace the batteries for our motorhome. The two that are in the compartment are large, at least the size of 3 car batteries each.
When I Google RV battery I get a selection of deep cycle batteries, but they appear regular size.
We stay at places that have electricity, so I'm looking for a "basic" lead acid battery. I realize they should be of good quality.
Winnebago TT 2101DS & 2020 Silverado LTZ Z71. 300 watts WindyNation solar w/MPPT, 2 Trojan T-125s. TALL flag pole. Prefer USFS, COE, BLM, USF&WS, NPS, TVA, state/county camps. 14 year Army vet-11B40 then 11A - old MOS 1542 & 1560.
Do you have to check and and water as needed to your current batteries or are they maintenance free? I would recommend getting AGMs - just makes things so much easier for you.

Those are likely 8d sized batteries, and yes they are very large and heavy. I bought one from Interstate a number of years ago. Somewhere there should be a part number on the battery, you can then look it up and cross reference it to other manufacturers batteries. Good luck.
Since Cookie stays at places with electricity, he/she doesn’t really need 8d batteries.

Thanks all for input, I'll post what we get. Btw
Cookie dough is a guy who used his favorite ice cream flavor before we even had an RV.
FWIW my DW and I will celebrate our 35 year wedding anniversary next month. She is the "the cherry on top" 💞
I had an RV tech to our location for for another issue. I showed him what I had found on line. Went with 2, size 27 deep cycle. Used 2 battery boxes secured to the tray that the old ones were on. 2 more could fit on the tray if needed. This fit our budget and requirements.
