The transitioning is already kinda overwhelming. Internet cutover to a mobile platform is critical, prepping the rig with the needed infrastructure and mods, already planned out the big ticket items, Morryde IS, solar & battery package... whew so many projects on the to do list... prioritizing the smaller but important ones is harder than we thought. But it is what it is. Just gotta remember to breathe... LOL

Deep breath as it will take you a few months to get everything as you want it. Took us probably a full 6 months (and that was planning it out probably similar to you) and we still are adjusting as we go forward almost 3 years later. Just remember tomorrow is another day and sometimes dragging your feet works out better as you can take it slow and try to get exactly what you need/want. Just my opinion.

After a year and a half on the road we never looked back. It has been a grand adventure! If you're like us you won't regret a minute. The worst day full-timing is better than the best day at work!

One word of advice: Don't sweat the small stuff - and it's all small stuff. Also don't sweat the petty stuff. (Though it's OK to pet the sweaty stuff.) ;)

BTW, Where ya heading first in November? We're wintering over again this year in a little RV park in Los Indios, TX called Angler's Nest, near the Mexico border. I highly recommend it. It's cheap and everyone is very friendly - to a fault. We crossed the border several times for cheap meds and dental care. Cheap eats and tequila too, plus it's super safe!

Wow Brian and Cindi finally all that planning for all those years has come to fruition. Good for you both. Excellent news on the house sale as well, that's wonderful to have it go so quickly.

Chip, our first move after MORryde IS upgrade will be to Rockport Texas(dec 2020), so Cindi can be near her father. Due to COVID we have decided to have Cindi stay down there while I keep working here in Chi-town (crashing at daughters apt) through the spring of 2021. At that time I'll take retirement then the full adventure will begin. This plan has the benefits of keeping us covered under Company healthcare until I'm Medicare eligible and we get to bankroll the extra income as savings.

Someday, we were floored when the agent told us we a full price offer less than an hour after the listing went live. First people it showed to, loved it the second they walked in the door according to our RE agent. Now we are really kicking everything into high gear for what is left to get sorted out.

Rick, our first project is to rip out the front wardrobe for the future crafting/hobby desk. As of this writing we have a huge open and clean space ready for the next step, a desktop is on order and a drawer cabinet was bought from IKEA that will fit nicely. Getting the desk in and up to speed is important because all our crafting/hobby stuff is temporarily stored where the future washer and dryer will go. I salvaged all the trim and panelling from the ripped out closet for other projects as well as for shelving in the desk project. Right now it is stored in the basement but it will have to be ditched before we move the rig to TX so there is impetus to get those those other items done while we have the time and the weather here in northern IL to get them done, especially once we are out of the house on August 14.
