Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After talking about it ever since we first met, debating and weighing options and tons of researching, we’ve finally done it. We bought a motorhome yesterday! We plan to travel about 50% of the time and spend winters at our home din Retama Village, in Mission, Texas. That’s just north of Mexico in the Rio Grande Valley. We’re so excited we can hardly stand it!
We bought a 2018 Winnebago Horizon 40A. I think it has a great kitchen which was really important to me and we love the light clean interior. We fly back to Louisiana to pick it up and drive home in 2 weeks. I’m sure we’ll have tons of questions. I know first on the list is Surge protection / EMS. Then we’ll move on to our towing set up. Hoping to make some weekend trips this year since all Jeff’s vacation is spoken for.
i still haven’t learned to post pictures yet so here’s a link to the dealer’s pictures:
Yep, ya jumped in the deep end. Good on ya. It looks like a nice clean rig, I hope it treats your right. As for questions, you'll find no better place for answers than here.
