Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have spent the last two years trying the major types of work kamping jobs and since we finished the last one I decided to take a stab at comparing them. Please keep in mind these comparisons are based on our very subjective experience and one season in a particular place. Still I think it is interesting to stack them up against one another so wanted to share it here.
Thanks for the info Trace. I think you've convinced me that none of those jobs are for me. I have other skills that I can employ that will pay much better and be easier on this old(er) body. Having said that, never say never, and at least I know where to find work if I need it.
Interesting read. Have to agree with arcaguy... with the exception of the camp hosting (maybe just maybe for the locale only) not really our cup of tea, especially Amazon or beets. Done enough physical labor in my day, don't want that experience again. Again, never say never as the situation dictates what you may or may not have to do. Plus a nice pension really helps. Hats off to all workampers, if it works for you... who am I to say it's wrong.
