Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We enjoy dry camping and we just upgraded our Nuwave Induction cooktop. We bought the Nu Wave 30602 Electric-Countertop-Burners, Black. Its a dbl. burner. Lola loves the unit, also uses a small amount of battery bank when dry camping too.

I figure Elvira is a spammer, since only one post and it includes a link to sell something.

Anyway, we have a MasterClad cookware set that we got at a Costco roadshow. My wife loves it, we are not replacing nonstiick skillets every year like before.

Not "necessarily" a spammer.  At least the link was to a site with something like a "top 10" list of skillets with different brand names.

Not that I place a lot of faith in survey and review results.  We were given an expensive skillet by cousins and the wife says it really isn't any better than a $3 one at Walmart.  As she said, she can buy a lot of those $3 skillets with the amount of money needed to buy the "fancy" one.

We love our Magma Nesting cookware set. Not super light but the bottom is quite thick and the handles are removable.

The Magma Nesting cookware does look good and is a lot less money than the MasterClad. It probably weighs less too, which is not a problem for us. Amazon only charges $1.20 ($178.40 for a 10 piece set) to go from the non-inductance version to the inductance. It also looks like they make higher end sets up to the $400s.

Spammer aside, I give one more vote for the Magma nesting cookware. Excellent quality, very functional, and saves space. Mine came from my boat, and speaking of that, marine consignment stores around the country are a good source for "RV" cookware, as our storage constraints are very similar.

For baking, I prefer Pyrex. I use a lot of PAM but I really like the way things cook in Pyrex. Pyrex also makes great guitar slides and I've been using them for 20 years. I love playing slide guitar. Electric, raw, dirty and powerful. :)

Pyrex will eventually crack or blow up when used on a stove top. That is the nature of glass and why most Pyrex comes with instructions not to use it on a stove top.

 Um, baking (in oven) and guitar slides. Never mentioned using it stovetop. Different tools for different applications?
