Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi Everyone. We are Mike & Ann Lutz. We have been talking and planning our traveling lifestyle for a couple years. We have 4 grown children with 3 grandchildren. Though we love them dearly, we feel as though we need to get out there and explore before we become too old and tired to do so. We are not close to retirement, but we have decided we don't need much. We recently sold our home and moved in with our oldest to prepare for our journey. I took a leave from my teaching position to try out a job that I can do remotely which will help finance our travel desires :) Mike isn't old enough to retire, but will take some time off, possibly find a workamper job, or take up more golf :)
We are beyond excited for the rally!!! I have been researching this lifestyle for more than a year and come upon RV Dreams and learned about the rallies they hold. Thought, what a better way to learn more information than from travelers themselves. We have not purchased our RV yet, but have our sites set on a 5th Wheel. We will be attending the RV show in Tampa in January and hope to be leaving there with our new one ordered (hopefully).
Sounds like a good plan. I worked from the RV for about 18 months. I used both an ATT Unite Pro and Verizon Jet Pack to give me the best chance for maintaining a cell signal for wifi. I also added a WeBoost to bring in weak signals. You can read about that stuff in the tech section under staying connected. Enjoy the rally.
