Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
On our last trip the Direct TV system worked perfectly. It even worked in-motion as the DW watched something in the bedroom as I drove. The day after we got home we went out to clean up the coach and I turned on the TV to listen to the news. I got a picture but no sound. I can switch to over the air and the sound works perfect. This is the same on all three TV's inside the coach. We are using the non high def in-motion receiver (the receiver is only about two years old). I tried turning off the receiver and even unplugged it......still no sound. Any ideas other than the receiver has gone bad?
Did you check to see if it was muted? our dtv receiver & remote has mute button on it. If not that- did you reboot it? somewhere there should be a button, probably under a cover of some sort.
hope this helps,
kevin

I'm afraid I'm an old time radio and TV guy so yes I checked the mute on the TV and the Direct TV receiver. I also tried rebooting twice. I assume the received is gone.
Did you check your inputs to the back of the TV? Do you have surround sound wired in that requires another button to be pushed? I'd just check all connections for tightness first. Also, to watch in the bedroom, was there something that had to be switched over?

I get no sound out of the TV's (any of them) but they all have picture. I also get no sound out of the surround system while on Direct TV. This non-high def receiver is hooked up only with coax.
