Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Getting Started

smile  Here we go.....  My wife Traciann and I are now starting the process of getting ready for retirement in 6 1/2 years.  I took some great ideas from some other full timers, which told me to start now.  We went to Tampa, Fl this past month to the RV Show and WOW were we overwhelmed.  We did by the end of the 3 days start to narrow things down.  At one point my wife had to pull me away from the table, I was ready.  Being we are from Maine and the weather is, lets say NOT FOR ME, I have to wait I guess.  Anyway we have learned a lot and now we can begin to narrow things down.   So we cant wait to get out on the open highways.  We know we have a lot to learn, but I feel we have the time to try to get it right.  We hope to make friends with other full-time RVers on the site to get the great and the not so great.  We are looking forward to chatting.

Tony and Traciann

Welcome to the community! You will find tons of info on this site. If you do not see it, just ask. Everyone on here is extremely helpful. Sign up for a education rally that Howard and Linda have advertised on the top of the page.

Tpiketrooper-

Welcome! Since you have lots of time I suggest renting at least an A and C motorhome, and a 5er and TT if you have something to pull them. Should help you narrow down the type of RV you want as well as what features you can live without or absolutely need.

Welcome aboard Tony & Traciann. When we started our "process" back in late 2013 we had an 8 year timeframe.... totally based on incomplete knowledge and no support from anyone.  Since then we have trimmed 2 years off our target date, worked out ton of details and are totally comfortable with our projections. along the way we have picked up a great support network from some great RVers that we have come to trust for their wisdom, grace and experience on this forum. You are in good hands here. We have learned sooo much. So ask away. Not saying you'll copy our experience or that you'll find a way to get to the "promised land" sooner but ya just never know.wink Just sayin'.
