Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
OK, who's been there? We're visiting in the summer and wanted to check and get info to optimize the visit.
-should we do both upper and lower canyons? If only one…which is the better tour?
-Any highly recommended (or highly not-recommended) tour companies…I see there are a couple of possibilities?
-best focal length lens for the tour as one probably doesn't want to swap lenses down in the dusty canyon…I've got 10-20mm (15-30 35mm equivalent) and 18-200mm lenses for my DSLR. I'm thinking that the 10-20 would be better but having never been there I'm not sure that I might need something longer than the 30 on the wide angle zoom. I could always crop…but wait, maybe I just need to buy another camera body instead
-best time of day for tour…I think mid day is better for getting the sunbeams in the shots and we'll probably take the photographers tour as it's longer and has fewer people and no kids.
-what's the difference between upper and lower…from what I've seen doing research it appears that the light beam shots are in the upper one and it looks like the lower one is wider and harder to hike through than the upper. Correct?
-I know there's an upper and lower canyon…as well as Cathedral Canyon tours listed separately by the tour companies but none of the ones I looked at show a lower canyon tour…do I need to keep looking or did they stop doing lower canyon tours?

Will be following this thread, like I said it's on our list.
I would guess you can't go wrong with either but we opted to do the upper because we read there is more sun beam's and we also took the 10:30 tour because it is during the peak sun beam hours. After some research we used Antelope Slot Canyon Tours by Chief Tsosie and were very happy with our tour guide.
