Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

For those that follow along on our adventures...we're a little over 3 weeks at La Paz Valley RV park in Quartzsite: http://pursuingasleeve.blogspot.com/2016/11/first-sand-storm.html

We had to use 24 inch long iron stakes with a ring at the top. We bought them from one of the vendors that caters to other vendors with awning/booth supplies. I had to use a long drill auger bit to be able to get them into the hard ground. They did the trick to hold our awnings down in a 2 hour long sand storm one night at Q.

My wife ended up with the Quartzsite Crud (Valley Fever) after being out in that sand storm trying to make sure the tables with our goods didn't blow over.  It took her a couple of months to get over it.

Jay picked up some of those really long ones. We're back up for now. Guess we'll see how they hold! Sorry she got that nasty stuff! Hope she's doing well now. Had some great views this morning with the sun coming up. Life is different here, but it sure is pretty at times. :)
