Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Getting ready to go

HI everyone getting ready to go. Still working on the better half who is only half ready. She is having issues with selling the snB. She is a home body who can not see herself away from home for any length of time. We both will be retiring in a few years after 38 and 44 years in our chosen professions. Just wanted to know if anyone else has or had this same Delia. Thanks.

Full timing is a pretty serious commitment. Selling your home and ALL the stuff in it is very emotionally draining ... a lot of memories are conjured up as you dig thru the closets and drawers you haven't looked at in years. If your wife isn't fully on board, it will be tough sledding. IMO you both need to be on the same page or there will be trouble.

Yes I agree she likes the idea but is afraid to try something new. She has always been the type person who can not picture something ahead of time, I think she will come around as the time draws near. If she doesn't we will do something different.

She won't "be away from home". She will be traveling in her home.
Today's MH and 5ers are not campers any more. These are complete homes with available heated floors, dish washers, stacked washer and dryers, King beds, state of the art electronics, some with bath and a half, solid surface counter tops, and much more.
Other than size there is no sacrifice when going full time.
