Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Finally, after a year of learnin'... lots of internet shoppin'... and plenty o' wishin", tomorrow evening Deb and I will jump on a plane out of Portland for our flight to Salt Lake City, where on Wednesday, we'll take possession of our new (to us) 2007 40' Tiffin. Sadly we have only a few days to spend getting back to Oregon and the S&B on the Oregon Coast (near Pacific City), but we'll get to spend three days on our first "date" getting to know her up front and personal like!!!. It's been great fun this morning sitting here in my office using travel planning sites like RVParky, to plot a "for real" course (can't count how many imaginary dream trips I've plotted out over the last year) and make actual camping reservations along the way. Once we get her home, we'll be able to get the whole toad thing going, and get serious about planning a solar install for her. Can you say "EXCITED??"
Congrats. You'll love the Tiffin. Welcome to the family.

First day on the road went just fine! Nice little run from Draper Utah to Hagerman Idaho where we're spending the night at the Hagerman RV Park. I just gotta find the button for the windshield bug deflector......
I've yet to find that magic button. My wife has found the perfect solution. Each morning while she is tucked warmly in bed her husband goes out and does the daily rounds which includes clearing the bug collection for another day of bug squishing.
A husbands work is never done. The hotter the day, the more difficult the task. I love baked on bugs.
