Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

DIY RV Mods

Lee has made quite a few modifications to our rig over the last two years and finally I got him to sit down explain it all.  Since he doesn't do anything half way, there are pictures and detailed instructions on our inside modifications on the link listed below.  Took him all day to complete that, so the outside stuff is going to have to be completed on another day lol.  Still thought I would pass it along.  I think he did a nice job.  For those who are coming to the rally you can see it all on rig tour day :)

I don't think I've ever been so impressed! It seems you move ahead fearlessly with your modifications and go "where angels fear to tread" and they all come out remarkably well. What a great example you set for those of us who tend to live with the irritating "little things" that aren't quite perfect because we don't think they can be changed. You, however, just go ahead and change them. I can't wait to see what you've modified outside.

Lee, I love your "can do" attitude.  Burst out laughing with the "Not a storage space".... "Challenge accepted" segment.  When our time comes, I'll revisit your blog post to refresh my thinking in this vital area.  Great job!!!!

Wow! Love your desk conversion. Hubby & I are planning to FT in a 5R with both of us working. Your desk conversion should work perfectly for him.

This is awesome.  Thanks for sharing.  My husband and I just purchased a 2016 Grand Design Solitude with front living.  We will be taking out one of the couches and are looking to do a similar thing.  I love the way your desk area turned out!  Again, thank you so much for sharing.  I have been looking and looking for this type of DIY for a computer station.

We're going to get a front living also. (Extra height for hubby!) We were talking about taking out a couch and putting in a desk. Your example is perfect.
