Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
It is time for us to consider a new mattress. My brother just bought one for his home and I was stunned at the price he had to pay to get the bed he wanted.
I noticed a commercial on TV for Casper mattresses. They ship to you. The website has a video and the size and price are perfect for us. Has anyone else purchased a Casper mattress? This is the website.

I haven't heard of Casper mattresses, Coleen, but we recently did some research and purchased a replacement mattress. There are several national companies selling good quality foam mattresses (Bed In A Box is one of the better known) and Costco handles several of them. The price for a 60 x 80 queen is several hundred dollars less than the Casper in the link you provided. We are full-timers and have been in Southern California for about six weeks. We found a mattress seller in Temecula that gets their mattresses from a regional manufacturer and we are very happy with our purchase. We got a 60 x 80 queen memory foam/regular foam/cool gel 12" combination mattress with a very nice cover for $500. Our son purchased a 14" mattress similar to the Bed In A Box (at least it came compressed in a box) from his local Costco in Tennessee and is very happy with it, too. If you don't have a membership, it might be worth the $50 or $60 dollars (my wife says you can get an inexpensive day pass, too) to check out a Costco near you and see what you find.

Bought a Casper..not impressed. It's actually firmer than I want. The reviews are stellar, so go figure. They have a 100 day return policy, but I haven't returned it. Too much hassle, so I'll probably keep it, but I am disappointed. I had so much hope based on the hype.

SAMS CLUB $400 for box spring and mattress serta brand
It is really important to be able to feel it first and find out what you like and what you don't. You can shop around areas you pass through and then look online for better deals. A mattress is very important and you don't want to invest in one that isn't going to keep you comfortable.
We just replaced our mattress after trying out one given to us by a RV mattress company (didn't like it for our needs). We started our research with Casper, and then found there are a bunch of these buy online mattress stores.
After a couple nights of deep research, checking out mattress-geek websites - we settled on the Leesa. Same concept, it comes shipped compressed in a box, expands on your bed and comes with a 100 money back guarantee (they'll arrange for someone local to come pick it up - not much hassle at all).
We're about 45 days into ours, and so far - absolutely loving it.
However, considering we've had plenty of past mattress fails in the first few months - we're still holding our breath before issuing more of a review of it.
I don't know how accurate these guys at spotting fake reviews but they look for people that get a small fee for fake reviews. I just started using them a few weeks ago.

We have a foam bed that came in a box. It is plenty firm. I didn't think they would be and wasted lots of money in spring mattresses. Best we ever had.
