Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Dan and I have owned a lot at Cedar Key RV Resort in Cedar Key, FL since 2012. Since we have a vested interest in the park, I volunteered to post the ad on RV Dreams. The resort is looking for a new management team and has posted the following ad recently on various websites.....
We are an upscale, well maintained resort looking for a couple that will manage our RV resort. Our resort is pristine and ready for a great couple to maintain these standards. The resort is located minutes from the island of Cedar Key, Florida. The right couple should possess a high energy, great people skills, management skills, computer skills, maintenance skills, and a love for the outdoors and the natural beauty of the Nature Coast. The managers will be responsible for, and participate in, all aspects of the office operation and maintenance and care of the grounds, as well as park sponsored activities, and recreational activities for the guests. The new managers will need to be in place in February, 2016. We would like to have them do a visit and make sure the job is right for them and that they are right for the job. We are looking for a highly motivated couple that will eagerly help us continue to grow our business but also appreciate the area and its beauty. We will offer FHU and a salary DOE and abilities. All candidates must pass a background check. Please email resumes to don@florentineholding.com. No Phone Calls To The Resort Please!
Linda and I are friends of Dan and Trish but have no financial interest in this park whatsoever. With that discloser and commenting that we knew nothing of Trish’s post until I just read it, this is a REALLY nice park. We’ve been here for a little bit with 3 other RV-Dreams rigs.
Quite large lots and very well cared for.Certainly no maintenance “basket case” from what we have observed during our stay. Park is very clean, good utilities and office / meeting room facilities. And for any looking for a full-time place – it doesn’t snow down here very often and when it does it all melts in about 3 seconds.Currently bright and sunny.
Bill and I were thinking about finding a seasonal workamping job for next winter (January'ish - March'ish) is there a possibility they might hire Workampers for a seasonal position? We aren't ready to settle down in a permanent or even year-long situation.
The park will be hiring work-campers for next winter. You can email your resume to cedarkeyrvresort@bellsouth.net. I am actually work-camping here now so if you have any questions about the gig, just shoot me a PM.
