Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
its a change the light bulb kinda thing.......will depend on access to it but I would say that on the back would be an access point to do it........if your planning on pulling it out because it is built in , bring out the vacuum it would be a good time to clean out the heater blower and add a couple drops of oil on the motor if accessible

Mike is right - I've had ours apart. The front trim lifts off, four screws and the fireplace comes out. About eight more screws and the back comes off. They're pretty cheaply made and we've had to replace ours once already (the controller board failed). I'm getting ready to pull it out again this weekend to see what I can do about some faint noises caused by the "special effects" motor and/or rotor.

We had the same issue but it was due to a circuit board failure. Manufacturer sent us a new one and only charged shipping. One word of caution, especially if you travel in dusty areas, we were told to vacuum and clean it out once a year to prevent other issues.
Update - pulled ours out again to disconnect the "special effects" motor (I made several unsuccessful attempts to silence the darned thing). It seems that in the newer models, the light source is a strip of LEDs rather than a light bulb. Anyway, disconnecting the motor for the rotisserie got rid of the mechanical mouse in the fireplace...
