Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, we have purchased a 2005 Winnebago Journey 36G and love it. We did much research on different models and really love this floor plan. Amazingly we found a great deal on a one owner coach close by in Prescott, AZ (we live in Tubac, south of Tucson). We are having a great time making it 'ours' as we get ready for departure in April. Patti's last day of work is January 29 and then we will get down to work seriously, selling and/or donating all of our 'stuff', making final preparations in the moho and hitting the road. Our destination is the Tri-Cities in Eastern Washington, where we will 'base' while taking care of Patti's mom. We do plan on establishing 'domicile' in Washington. From there we get to explore the Pacific Northwest until the first snow flies, then back south to AZ for the winter. What a great country!!
We also domicile in Washington state and find the medical and vehicle insurance very reasonable if not in the bigger cities. When we picked our medical insurance plan this year we had to choose from 74 plans. Voting online and mail services are working well for us. So long as you can use a local residence address there are no problems. No state income tax and reasonable vehicle licensing tabs are an advantage in Washington.
North for the Summer and South for the Winters is a great plan.
Enjoy you new life.

Good luck, we're heading to Tubac for the art festival in February, our first visit to your home town. I grew up in Spokane and I am a big fan of the Tri cities, love the small town feel, lots of great wineries, bike trails and a great place to spend time in the summer. In fact we're hoping to be in Richland for Art in the Park at the end of July. Feel free to PM me if you have time during our stay in Tubac in Feb. If you want to meet and chat about this wonderful life on the road☺
