Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well we are no longer lurkers on this site! Hooray. We are waiting for the house to sell and we will be on the road! After gathering all of our toys and getting the right vehicles we are ready to hit the road. Looking forward to meeting many of you on the Trail.
We are planning on going to the 2016 rally in Tennessee.
As soon as the house sells. We will be on the road!
Our last child is on his own and we are very excited to start a new chapter in our own lives. We live in Alamosa Colorado. We've lived here for the last 22 years. It's very beautiful here but we are ready for a change.
We were met with the "What? Your going to do What!" by all of our friends and relatives when we announced we were moving. At first people were trying to talk us out doing this. Then they tried to talk us out of selling our home. The more we talked about it the more they accepted it and are excited for us. Several of our friends are even talking about doing this on a much smaller scale now. Ha! Plant a seed and see what happens!
We still have a few things to do. But we have been downsizing for over a year now. The house is on the market and had only one showing so far. I've said over and over it only takes one person to see the house. And I am still holding on to the idea it will sell before the end of the year. Wish us luck.

Congratulations. We're experiencing the sight of a beautiful snowfall up here NE of you near Colorado Springs. I know you have traveling and family calling to you, but TEXAS?
Seriously, you've got a nice rig and it should do you well for temperatures wherever you are. We're in a 2010 Mobile Suites and really enjoying it.

Yeah Texas is not my first choice.... But the rent is free and we can get things organized and we can settle in. If only they lived by the beach! But it's still warmer than Colorado.

Congratulations...try to not go crazy during the wait...it can be brutal. And don't waste the time. Even though it took us 6 months to sell and we tried to do everything we possibly could in advance there still was a flurry of activity at the end, some of which could have been avoided :) Good luck on the sale and again congratulations!!
