Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Campground near Charleston SC Airport

Looking for suggestions for a Campground or RV park near Charleston, SC for September 2016 stay.  We will be in the area for a reunion being held at the Radisson Airport and would like to find a nice campground/RV park in the area for our stay.  We have a 38" Class A.  Thank you for any help or suggestions you can provide.

Jean,

I won't be much help, if any, as we've never been there.  However, I did find this on RV ParK Reviews.  There are two reviews listed, one each for two different campgrounds.

Charleston, SC Campgrounds

Should there be a case of being retired or active military, there is also a military FamCamp near the Charleston AFB.

We use Little Cedar Creek RV park when we visit our children stationed there, and we like it very much. I do not know how close to the airport it is. Pat K

According to Google Maps, that is about 135 miles away.  Roughly 2 hours.

Oops! Obviously having a senior moment there. Thanks Terry; sorry, Jeannie! Well anyway, if anyone happens to go through Columbia, Little Cedar Creek is a great little RV park We stayed at Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, Johns Island. It was a beautiful RV park. It is 12 miles from the airport. Pat and Charlie K

Thank you all for the information, these are the two parks that I had also found and they sounded pretty good. We plan to journey down from Wisconsin in Sept. next year, any other suggestions for campgrounds along the way? Or the best route to take through the mountains?
