Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

First Time RV. Go big or go home

Hey guys! My husband and I have been an RV owner for about 3 months now. We are planning to go full time while we build our next house. Right now we are waiting on the sell of our current home to fully move in. In the mean time, we've taken her out for a weekend, and plan to go out for a few weeks coming up soon. We LOVE it already.

These forums and others like it, have really helped us to prepare right for that first trip. I can't wait to learn more from you all.

Right now we have a 2015 Chevy 3500 pulling a 2016 Crossroads Elevation "Las Vegas". You could say we are "all in" on this one.

We're also both active duty military (Aim High!) and love being on the road from our experience with moving.

Nice to meet you all!

Rebecca,

Welcome to the RV Dreams' forum family.  And, thank you both for your service and sacrifices.

We moved to the Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort near Colorado Springs last year and found that there were a number of military personnel here in the park living in RV's.  It actually makes sense for military folks to live in an RV, especially considering they don't have to sell a home if they get deployed overseas.  All they have to do is store the RV somewhere until they return.

Good luck with your military and personal futures.

Terry
