Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi ladies and gentlemen, I'm brand new to camping and RVing and I'm here to gain knowledge from you all!! I've been disabled almost all of my life, and I'm 58 years young! I'm married for the last 37 years to 1 woman, and she gave me (3) children, although we lost our middle son, Jesse (his anniversary of his death is coming up on 2 years this Sept). It has been so difficult to deal with, you just can't imagine. But weve got our oldest, Shaun, 34 years old, and our youngest Shannon, who just turned 26 last month!
we are in the process of looking for a Class A or Class C, pre-owned and with a small price tag. Hopefully we will be able to find what we are looking for? So I am here looking for knowledge from all of you!
Thank you Pieere, it's really a very nice thing to say. Most people don't really don't know what to say, so this way we understand. Does that make sense? Thank you for your "Welcome" to!!
Why wife, Sherry & I just went to an RV Show from one of the dealerships in my area. We are going to half to get what we can on our very limited dollars! See, I'm also disabled, and have been for many years. I hate it! But I paid in to it!! It's just that the money is about a 1/5th of what I was making. So anyway, I don't have a problem with people knowing this, better they do since we are basically looking at pre-owned RV's. I want a Class A or Class C. There are many for sale down here, some that goes between $10 and $20K. I'm certain I can find something that's a little older, clean and reliable, but new is the best chance, and I realize this.
Thanks again,
Do read the blogs of those who post. There are so many different ways people RV (and fulltime) that reading the different blogs will help you identify things you want to do, things you don't want to do, things you never thought about, the highs and lows of RVing, etc.

Thank you Barb! Yes, I'm wide open pretty much! I just want to suck in all the knowledge I can! I mentioned earlier that I had never been camping, but that was a lie. My brother and I always went camping with our BoyScout Troop, 441! There were some woods very close to where I grew up and we also camped in there! But that was 50 years ago, lol!! Now I'm coming up on 60 in the next couple of years, and camping with an RV is a Bucket List thing!! If I could convenes my wife to move anywhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I would love to go to!
Nice to have you here and welcome! You've come to a great place for information and everyone here is very helpful so ask away! The Blue Ridge Mountains are sure a nice choice, and I'm sure you'll find your way there a few times :) Take care and I'm sorry for your loss, but hope you find this time in your life very comforting, and you get to enjoy the many places you'll travel! Take care!!

just registered to this website. my wife and I plan to start RVing. have a 2014 Pleasureway class b 19ft diesel. We will be retired in less than a year. would like to do a 14-20 day trip to the southeast. We live at the very southern tip of Texas. Would like to figure a trip thru the states of La., Ms., Ga., S.C., N.C., Tn., Ar., and back to Texas. We love nature, like to take interstates only to get to point B in a hurry. So hoping to get ideas of places to visit, sites to see, etc. that maybe someone else has taken. Guess I'm hoping someone has a travel itinerary I can use or at least use as a guide. I don't have any website resources that might offer some "road trips". Later we want to continue these trips thru the rest of the USA. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Dave.
Thank you so much marianne57! Now could that number on the back of your name the year you were born? I was born in 1957.
I really appreciate your time it takes to write me. Also, thank you for recognizing our great loss. I believe we will be dedicating our trips with him being so much a part of our lives, we will leave some of his ashes by a beautiful tree or on the ocean. He would have liked it.
Everyone is so nice here. So thank you for recognizing us!! Have a great evening!!

No kidding Marianne! Yes, 1957 is the greatest year in world history, wouldn't you say?!! Thank you for being so kind to me, as others also have written me! I was told that this forum has the nicest posters who are also the most knowledgeable. They were telling the truth!! I haven't really been able to check out this whole site, but I will!
Thank you,
Danny
