Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After 4 years on the road (from Key West to the Arctic Circle) we’ve bought a home near the grandkids.
We are selling our 1999 Volvo 770 with modified rack for smart car;
Our 2009 smart car Cabriolet;
And our 2004 Newmar Kountry Aire
The Volvo has 645,000 miles on it and is a 10 speed auto-shift. It is registered in Texas as a motor home and therefore requires no CDL to drive.
The smartcar has approximately 70,000 miles on it, tachometer, clock and cruise control.
The KountryAire has almost every option available; solar panels; 4 door frig/freezer with icemaker; dishwasher; stacked washer/dryer; cedar lined closet, etc.
Jim is looking for the Cargo Carrying Capacity. With the dual wheels on each axle... inquiring minds want to know what that trailer would be able to hauler cargo-wise. I'm guessing 9000 lbs on each axle, giving a CCC somewhere north of 4000lbs maybe even 5000lbs. ... just guessing though. Knowledgeable types on here will know the answer even before you go and read the plate on the rig.
