Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Update after first week

Hi everyone.

I received a message from Deb....m asking about our first week FT'ing, so here's a little update.

We ended up buying a heartland sun dance fifth wheel 3310. I had to have it delivered to lake Piru in Ca. I haven't bought a truck yet, wanted to get 5th first. That will be my next big purchase. The sale of my house had a snag in the title and has caused a four month delay. Once that clears in May I will be debt free again and will look for a truck. In the meantime I have a work kamping job here. So I'm learning about the RV and all the systems. My fellow work kampers have been very helpful. So far it has been great. I realized today that I have been looking forward to doing this for a long time like fifteen years so it feels great to actually be here.

Thats a quick update for now. Happy to be here Dave and Anna

Isn't it great to make it to the goal of FT'ing. I remember the excitement after years of planning.

Our RV'ing is interrupted by a stay in Mazatlán for the Winters. After being away from the RV for several months I am anxious to get back on the road.

Enjoy your adventure.

Great update Dave and Anna!

FYI we've had good luck with the CarMax in Burbank for quality vehicles at a reasonable and no-pressure price. Don't know their inventory of trucks, but might be worth a look.

Enjoy the Santa Paula area, and stay cool!!
