Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
That leaves me with only one recliner and one desk chair for seating, but I'm single and don't entertain at all. And I'm a full timer but not a traveler, I'm mostly parked for months at a time.
Most of my days are spent working on-line and many days I am too busy to get to the gym.
I'm not thrilled at all with the thought of a treadmill in my living space, but if I can walk a few miles a day while studying I guess that's a good thing.
Like you I spend most of my days on-line, working, at least M-F. I've gotten pretty good at sneaking in a "lunch hour" walk, now that might be at 11 am one day, 2 pm the next and 5 PM the next day, etc, etc. We try to stay places where we have at least a chance of an interesting walk/hike in state/county or national forests. It totally depends on connectivity, but I shudder to even think about a treadmill or health club again. They were "things" I gladly gave up for this lifestyle and the ability to move every 2-6 weeks and follow reasonable weather. Are you able to be in climates that might allow you to get a daily walk in reasonable weather?
Personal opinion here. I wouldn't go there. Better to work in an outside walk like NWescapee said. I can't make myself go upstairs in the sticks and bricks to use the treadmill when we are at home. Doh. Pat K

There are researchers and health experts who say there are real advantages to the treadmill "walking" workstations. As a person who has trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time, I would be concerned about safety... much less my typing accuracy!

I would have to try it before buying. My DH has a basic treadmill (no motor) and the belt won't move for me, I'm too short and too light. I have to look at my monitor and write while working and would be afraid of losing my balance. When it comes to physical activity like walking, talking and taking notes, I'm definitely not a multi-tasker... Some people love it, some don't.
