Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Livin in a FLORIDA Wonderland (temporarily)

Palm tress wave, are you listenin'?

In the pool, waters glistenin',

A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,

Livin in a FLORIDA Wonderland.

Gone away is the blizzard,

Here to stay is the lizard,

A warm sunny day, we like it that way,

Livin in a FLORIDA Wonderland.

On the beach we'll have a picnic,

Turtles, sand and seagulls and sun,

Christmas dinner is an old tradition,

It's Grouper and Stone Crabs by the ton.

Later on, we'll perspire,

As temperatures rise, even higher,

A warm sunny day, we like it that way,

Livin in a FLORIDA Wonderland.

biggaRView: They don't have roaches in Florida, they call them Palmetto Bugs. Of course there is always the marijuana type roach.

Yes ....I know they have some bugs that are so big, you could put a saddle on them and ride 'em around. Hahaha

I'm pretty sure they have roaches down there too, although I was trying to extend the humor element, not discuss bugs.... palmetto or roach or whatever gives you the creeps.

Cheryl, we are gonna start changing up the avatar more frequently.  So for now, we just took that one at PetSmart Pet Portrait Day.  We'll find some better ones and use them too.

Meanwhile, back to the thread.... in a couple of months we'll be wishin' for Florida climate up here in the frozen hinterland of Illinois. Wanna trade?... anybody? nobiggrinbiggrin

This is good stuff!

Brian, great new pic.  Gotta tell you though, every time I saw the picture of Josie, it made me chuckle.  That too, is a great pic.

Here's a rebuttal....

Winter's here, snow is deep

And more's coming, ohh "bleep",

It's a blizzard, need a wizard,

Dealin' with a winter wonderland!

Winter snow is a blowin'

Can't see where I'm throwin'

All done for now, here comes the plow,

Dealin' with a winter wonderland!

I'm so worn out, time to say "heh whoa man",

Plan is set, time is now, get to the "purge"

Out-a-here, come on it's time to go man!

Like many RV dreamers will urge.

White stuff, daily duels,

Envious, of the Newhalls,

Shovel it Gene, this snow is obcene,

Dealin' with a winter wonderland.

OK it lame and I'm hoping we miss most of the white stuff, but we are prepared just in case.smile

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, because we have some place warm to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, well I liked it anyway.
