Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Sadly I have to report that Howard's mom (Anita) is now in the care of hospice. She will not be able to go home from the hospital. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
His dad (Sterling 92 yrs) is trying to recover from a bad cold. Many plans have to be made including finding a place for Sterling to live.

Please know that prayers are coming from PA for her and the entire family at this time. It can be hard for this kind of issue any time, but more so at this time of year. Stay strong, and God bless you all.

So sorry to hear about Howard's parents. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and focusing on things working out well for Sterling's living situation.
I am truly saddened to hear this, and yet I know that hospice is a compassionate and peaceful place to be during these very hard times. My prayers are with all of you.
Bummer…Connie and I feel for you as we've both faced the loss of parents before. You just do what you can…enjoy them as long as you and they are able…and worry about what happens next when it happens. Hospice was a great help to our parents and our families as well…and allows one to spend quality time with them instead of having to constantly worry about the hour to hour care in addition to the quality time.
So sorry to hear this. We dealt with hospice just one year ago and were just thankful to be in a position to be there and spend those precious moments together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We used hospice for my Mom two years ago, which even helped my sister who is the head of nursing in her hospital. I came to understand that Hospice was much more than medical care. They are there for the patient; but moreover, they are there to minister to the entire family - mind, soul and body. I'm sure they will be instrumental in both of your lives during this season of life.
Linda and I also would like to send our thoughts and prayers. We really enjoyed meeting Anita and Sterling at the Rallies. What a great couple!!

I have gone through this with my parents, and I know how difficult it can be. Find peace in your memories. Hospices are wonderful services and I hope they help ease your pain. Kind regards.
Howard and Linda, Ed and I just wanted to let you know you and your family are in our hearts and prayers. I am so sorry you are going through this. It is very hard when you have one sick parent, little alone two. Three years ago my parents passed three days apart. Hospice is amazing and they can make this difficult time a lot easier.

So very sorry to hear about Howard's parents. I understand how difficult this storm will be for you to weather. Stay strong and I am hoping that everything can go as well as possible for you two.
There's never a good time to have to deal with things like this, but this time of year is particularly tough. Just last year, this time, our family was dealing with the hospice situation briefly with my sister. For the short time their services were in place, they were kind and heartfelt people who truly tried to help us through our circumstances. You will be in my payers.

Reading Howard's latest journal entry this morning broke my heart... it's what I feared when I read that Anita had been moved to hospice care.
Howard I never met Anita and Sterling, but I feel as if I know them through you and the journal. They did good raising a fine son like you.
I send hugs and prayers for Anita, Sterling, Howard, Linda, and the entire extended family, including the RV-Dreams family. I wish there was something more I could do.
Just want to say thank you to your mom and dad for raising a son who has been a positive force and a blessing in so many ways to this RV community.
We will be remembering you with prayers during this difficult time. Pat and Charlie K

I hope all is going as well as can be. We found hospice to be very calming, caring and passionate when my mother said I've had enough, no more procedures. She had Parkinsons and could no longer swallow.
Your Great Big Family of RV-Dreams have already said all that can be said. So, please remember that you folks have friends all across North America that care for all of you.

Well, I am so thankful for all the prayers and thoughts from you all. The RV-Dreams family is the best! I flew back to Jacksonville yesterday afternoon. I got a call from Howard this afternoon (Sunday) and he said to get back to Louisville. His mom took a turn and is not expected to live much longer. Shane & Jami Hess (RV-Dreamers) are coming to my sister's house to pick up our trailer and move it to their property near Orlando. I am going to follow them down there and then fly out of Orlando tomorrow evening. We are blessed to have the best RV-Dreams family!!!!
I am. This may sound callous, but I hope that when the end comes, it is quick, peaceful and painless. Take care of your Dad. This is going to be very hard on him, but I'm sure you already know that.
