Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Need to change the name....

I see a lot of people always saying RV-Dreamers.....

Instead of RV-Dreams.com it should be RV-Doers.com

Just a lame joke......

But yes, people need to stop Dreamin' and start Doin'

We are! We are!  We'll be on the road next year, as planned.  But we'll be there.  lol

I think RV-Dreams is spot on.  It's seems rather poetic to me.  You gotta have the 'dream' first, then do something about it.  But ya do need to DO something about it.

Thought I'd chime in and add to the thread.

Hmmm "livin' the do".... sounds more like a good hair day than "livin' the dream" which sounds like fulfillment of a fantasy. Nuff said!!! Doing requires catharsis, breaking out of the old mould into the new paradigm of actualized living... Dreaming and imagining are part of that "doing" process.

 Mike,

Your comment requires a question....

....are you traveling yet?  If so, glad to hear it.

Even when you are "doin" there's still the dreaming. Yes, we are FT RV'ers, but we do still dream of the day when we are both retired and can travel with more freedom than work currently allows.

We know other FT RV'ers who may not have to dream about retirement, but they dream about other places to go, dream about all those places on their "bucket list" that are still to be visited.

So yes, you can be doing this life but still dreaming about it.

We are doing and loving it! After my "official" retirement from my profession of choice at the end of the year we are heading to Quartzite for a few months and then to Crazy Horse Memorial in SD for our May to September workamping jobs.... We are so looking forward to it....

We are "doing it," for 8 + years now.

The dreaming is still there. We dream of what we haven't seen yet and when we are going to see it.

So much to see, so little time.

You are spot on Dale & Ruth
We are always dreaming and especially for the day when we "retire" and we can just travel around - its expensive!

Always dream & keep doing fellow Dreamers. Stay safe out there.

When I was still working we always had "strategic planning" meetings - I started asking when we could finally have "strategic doing" meetings instead! So I totally get the sentiment, but even when doing I hope to always keep dreaming
