Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Becoming Full timers Step by Step

Today is our first official day as Full timers and to celebrate I wanted to share a page I have added to my blog called Becoming Full Timers Step by Step

http://camperchronicles.com/becoming-fulltimers-step-by-step

We started this process last year and for a variety of reasons I couldn't share everything I was going through as we went through the process.  But I wrote about everything as it happened and finally I get to share the full story.  Eventually Lee and I are planning on doing some short videos to accompany each step, but for those of you who are in process, I hope you find this helpful.

Trace, that's a great read. Sherry once joked that she thought we were your planning/spreadsheeting/organizing match.  Don't know about that, but I will say a lot of what you wrote about in your blog post sounds very familiar.  Even though we are still a few years from going FT, your experience will help shape the path we will follow as we move closer to that "freedom day" that you have now declared.  We aren't jealous... okay maybe we are, but we are encouraged by what you have shared.

I enjoyed reading your "step by step". It will be handy as we plan to go on the road in about 16 months.

Congrats on the first day of full-timing and welcome to the journey of life on the road!

Interesting how many different paths are taken as we start on this journey. Hope to meet you in person someday, we seem to have a lot in common.

Wow, very informative.  Glad I followed the link.  I'm going to read it twice.

Hope it was okay to have posted a link to you site in a blog post from my own site.  Some days things just fall into place.  I logged on, went to this topic and found your site.  I hope to learn from your experiences.

I just posted on your blog my appreciation for all you shared. I had to laugh when you wrote about your initial trip to PA and your experience in NJ. We're originally from NJ so I laughed at Lee's comments about Newark! We will be full-timers in a teardrop beginning in April. The planning is all-consuming and we go from excited to stressed and back again regularly! Your thoughts are so helpful and informative. Thanks for that! Follow my blog at www.birder526.blogspot.com. Thanks again for your blog. Diane Silverstein
