Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Suggestions for parking rig and truck in Ft. Lauderdale area over Christmas

We are traveling in Florida for the next several months and have plans to fly home for Christmas (Dec 20-31).  We are new to RVing and did not realize parking/storage could be so hard to find.  Anyone have any suggestions?  The storage facilities around Ft. Lauderdale are all full and have wait lists.

pay a months stay at an rv park or campground prior to leaving and that will give you your travel time...and a week or 2 when you get back///..........I have also used secured towing yards for storage......

We are in simular senario.. no campgrounds anywhere on the coasts.. Crazy down here..

try in the middle of the state.. you may find a few with some openings... should be cheaper too.

It's on the other coast but we are at Seminole CG in North Fort Myers and it never fails up before January. Pretty sure you could get a spot here add long as you were gone by Jan 15. http://www.seminolecampground.com

Great place and very nice folks. Vicki is the lady who will answer the phone.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We found a KOA near Ft. Lauderdale where we will stay for a few days and then they will dry store for $5/day. Learning as we go .
