Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I don't know what finally made me do it, but I finally decided to change out my avatar image.  After all, I've used the old one since mid-year of 2008, and the actual photo is even older than that.  So, for now, I've updated to a "newer" image, one that was taken in August of 2009.  Both Jo and I have changed a bit in appearance, although the new avatar includes hats and visors, so it isn't a really clear image of what we look like now.

Besides, we have both "shortened" our hair within the last year, and I'm not sure all of you are "emotionally and psychologically prepared" for the new look.....

.....then again, maybe just for laughs.

OK.  I'll try to get some "updated" photos of the two of us.

This made me think of one time we went to get our driver's licenses in AL. The guy in front of us was jokingly insisting that his picture be retaken because he told the clerk, "Look at that photo. If I get stopped and they see that, they'll definitely think I've done something wrong." Everyone was cracking up.

Having a sense of humor is priceless!

What prompted that photo in the first place was a user's avatar over on a firearm's forum that I frequent.  He uses this photo as his avatar:

I was in the bathroom one day, getting shaved and all, and hadn't yet put my false teeth in.  Jo made some funny remark about something and as I smiled, I happened to glance up and see myself in the mirror at that very moment.  It reminded me of that guy's avatar, and since he is one to always take kidding around, I posted my photo saying it was his avatar "all grown up and aged."

The photo isn't really an accurate one of what I really look like because I took the photo with my cell phone instead of my regular ones.  Thus, my ears appear to be flatter against the side of my head than what they really look like.

Oh, and their WILL NOT be any similar photos of Jo posted here.  I sometimes tread very lightly around here because of the fact that I can't cook.

I don't know Terry about the cooking since if you posted something offensive to Jo, you might cook. I guess actually more appropriately, be cooked! You know, you "steam" Jo and you "cook". Well, that is the way it would work at our house but you two seem more civilized.

 So right!  I think "Who on earth is that? Oh, shoot that's me."  And, worse yet my hand mirror magnifies 10 times...........

  Terry's photo almost took on the qualities of a caricature which is really kind of cool but not that I probably want to go there myself.
