Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Looking at possibly purchasing a 07 Fleetwood 40 Revolution LE. Would appreciate any pro or con comments on this motorhome ( has 400 hp CAT diesel ) . Also, any comments on other brands as to which would be a better choice in the 2006 to 2009 range.
I know nothing about that particular unit but I would google for "issues with......" and also you might try asking in the Class A part of the forum at www.rv.net or at least doing a search as it is very active and you might have a better chance at finding someone who has one, had one, knows someone with one. You could also read through the comments on other units. With used units, the care they received goes a long way in whether they are a winner or not.
And, welcome to the forum. I did get out my book "Buying a Used Motorhome" by Bill Myers and he gives some recommendations on models but he doesn't list that many and he has missed some worthy Class Cs that I personally know of. He doesn't mention the Revolution, which doesn't mean one thing or another but he lists for diesel pushers: Fleetwood Discovery and also the Winnebago Vectra. I am not a fan of the Class A so I don't pay that much attention to the models. Both Winnebago and Fleetwood put out some nice Class Cs and have a good reputation.

We looked at them several years ago and like what we saw, just weren't ready to buy. I see a lot of them on the road and in the RV Resort we stay during the summer months.

I don't know much.. But I spoke to a owner of a New revolution, few years back.. He was not happy at all. Kept saying he should have bought the tiffin.
But I looked at them too, in comparing them to a fifth wheel.. And for what you get, they can be had for the least money.. I thought.. In the nicer , big class A's.
Pretty happy I did go that way, as I think I have more room, and options now.
