Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, it wouldn't be able to go to the campgrounds where we go and I actually would rather not give up canvas bunk ends, to me it is too closed in and looks like a fancy bug-out unit. I would like to have its purchase price in the bank right now though. I was also thinking that to me one of the biggest advantages of the RV is less floor space to clean and, seriously, that "look" requires an extra clean and shine to look good and 3 adults, 2 large dogs and a guinea pig and we would be the "Beverly Hillbillies" of the high end RV set. Also, in KS, with over 8% sales tax, we would need a lot of extra pennies just for the sales tax and then the personal property tax, the insurance......... Pennies add up and I never fail to pick up the stray one but........... I recently was contacted by a distance relative through "Find A Grave" and she was telling me a story about my great-grandfather and how frugal he was, sort of making fun of him and I told her "Oh, that's where I got it!" Well, thank you Great-Grandfather!
As an RV, in the conventional sense of the term, it's not very suited to nomadic lifestyles like the majority on here are living or looking for. At 20+ feet wide with the slides extended, I imagine that many CGs cannot handle it. I was struck by the sheer volume of the interior. It seems more suited to being set up in easy to get to but remote locations. I guess if you could afford it, you could also afford to hire somebody to clean and maintain it. Definitely not my cup of tea, more of a novelty. Somebody will think it's just the ticket. More power to them.

I'm not surprised that it is European product because, frankly, they do a much better job on their RVs than do the American companies. Generally though they have smaller RVs but do SO much with the available space and look much more sturdy. Australian does some great things with theirs also especially "outback" styles. I love quality just in smaller packages and I remember the "classics" of the American RV industry when quality was the norm.
