Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi everyone...I've been on the forum for awhile, but never really did a "formal" hello...so consider yourselves all the welcome recipients of a nice friendly smile and wave....We have met some of you at the Spring RV-Dreams Rally, and I want to say AGAIN that this is some of the best time and money you can invest. In fact, I wish we had attended it BEFORE we had bought and traded our previous 6 or 7 RV's! So....we have been RV'ing for about 25 years...pop up, TT, lots of tents, and now have a Work n Play 5th Wheel ToyHauler that we pull with a 3500 Ram Dually 4x4 truck. We have decided not to be "full timers", because hubby could never really get comfortable with the idea of not having some type of "sticks and bricks"...so, after 32 years of marriage, knowing that compromise leads to a happy ending, we consider ourselves "RV-Birds". We will keep a modest DW manufactured home in Florida as our winter base, and then just like all the other "snow-birds" that leave town in the spring, we will "fly away" in our cozy RV and hit the road for 5-6 months having some on the road adventure. Looking forward to "flocking" with many of you! (P.S. We went the ToyHauler route because we ride a Harley and like to have our MULE with us too!)
That sounds like a great plan, Ellen! The beauty of this lifestyle is the flexibility to fit it to what is right for you and your husband. And kudos to the two of you for recognizing and accepting each other's needs through compromise.
We are looking forward to our first rally in a few weeks. It is great to hear the glowing reviews from past attendees. Having attended a couple of seminars led by Howard and Linda in January at the show in Grand Rapids, MI, we know we are in for a very informative and enjoyable week!
