Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
A milestone! 29 months tommorrow; since the Heat attack and still smoke free! I would have a cognac and coke; but I don't drink! LOL! I have been on a healthier diet and take my meds. Such a good old boy I am!!!
I am going to find a lower price little tear drop or motorcycle type tent camper fixer upper over the Winter. By Spring be ready to do some camping and fishing for 3-5 days at a time. I spend way to much time and money on this computer and still am not smarter!!! It is time to start some activities before the Grim Reaper collects his due! Funny; sad but true; one day it will happen and I have decided with my stinking little income it's time to enjoy my retirement.
I believe that it can assist in my feeling better: mentally; and spiritually; just hope the physical part of it agrees!!! "If we don't have dreams and goals and sit back in the rocking chairs and watch the idiot box; then we lose living a life of fulfillments!" Shoulda! Woulda! Coulda; doesn't cut it with me!!! Til next time! Bless all'

That is great news! I truly believe that virtually everyone will have more regrets about what they did not do than what they did do. Get our and do what you can and thank Him for that ability!

PIEERE: Again, you got it! I hope it works out for you and there is nothing like a future goal to provide that incentive to work toward the best possible health. Lettuce does not taste like ice cream but future dreams make it go down a little easier. There is a website called "tnttt.com", teardrops n tiny trailers which might inspire you about possibilities. I am in another huge all topics forum and some sit there hour after hour and then, you find them in the mental health forum talking about feeling depressed and how life has nothing to offer. Well, duh! I suggest they turn off the computer and take a walk, maybe not be so obsessed with themselves and open there eyes to what is beyond the world of electronics. It is funny as they will say something like they don't want to live beyond 30 (1/2 my age) and I tell them "Let's revisit this topic when you actually turn 30." We met a couple that were snowbirds both had cerebral palsy and they were an older couple that had a permanent older mobile in an RV park where we stayed and they went north in the summer to volunteer at a camp for kids with disabilities. They were such an inspiration to me. We live among a lot of seniors and that is inspirational. We walk in the morning and I tell my husband "I just can't settle in and just sit there waiting to die." We have had to make adjustments in our plans since we will be taking our adult son with DS with us and it would be easier to give up and not full-time but we are working to adjust to the change. I really hope you'll able to get out there and do some camping and fishing as nature is so good for the soul.
Hey, don't totally disconnect from the electronics though because myself and others look forward to your posts and having you check in and let us know how things are going. We are campers at heart so maybe we'll be camped and/or fishing right next to you!
That's indeed good news. If for only your own peace-of-mind, I think some short "camping" trips would really benefit your mental health. And, with good mental health, the physical health tends to be better as well. (At least in our own minds if nowhere else.)
Just to touch on that a bit, we recently went camping in a National Forest campground where we stayed in tents and slept in sleeping bags. Initially, I wondered if this old coot at age 68 ought to be doing that. After all, my new "version" of camping is when I'm sleeping on anything other than a Select Comfort mattress. But, of the five of us that went along, three of us are over 60 and we all had a good time.
Oh, and just to pick on you a bit, today is the 29th. So, are you "celebrating" early or is your watch set wrong?
