Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello all! I know it's been a LONG time since I've posted.
But here I am, back at you! And - I have news! BIG NEWS!
Our house, after 105 days on market has a contract! WOW!
I will try as best I can to keep you all updated, but as those who have gone before us know, we are going to be BUSY! Especially b/c Bill is still working and probably will be until some time after closing. UGH - but the end is in our grasp! Our closing date is set (as set as these things are) for Aug 13! That gives us a little over 3 weeks!
I will posting to my blog soon with some additional details for whoever might be interested!
I just want to say Bill and I very much appreciate all the awesome advice and support that you all have offered us over the past (almost a year) since I found this website! The info we gained here and the rest of the RV-Dreams site has given us the confidence to do this for real! There really aren't words to full express how grateful we are! We feel especially grateful for our Class of 2014 friends that have been by our sides during this whole process - which isn't over yet! And, even after closing, the type of advice and support will change, but will still be needed as we find our way through this new lifestyle called "full-timing".
So, please send all mojo to Tracy & Lee, and all the others that are still trying to sell this year! Some areas are selling quickly, but others (like mine) are slower and it is an incredibly painful wait for that call from your realtor that says "I'm coming by with a contract for you to look at".
What's your mortgage broker(substitute local taxing authority, utility, your lawn mower etc as appropriate) going to do? How dare you abandon them. You're being very selfish about this. NOTTTTT!!!! Congrats on the sale, Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and the "dream" begins.
We are so so happy for you and we will take that mojo!!! Can't wait to see you in person again And celebrate that closing!!!! Seriously you and Bill have taken the harder road in this house selling craziness and come out the other side. Thanks for your friendship and inspiration.
