Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Not sure if this is the right area.. but I plan to do a little of this as work on the road..
I have a chance to buy a 2005 38rl3 MS today.. Since I'm not leaving for a month.. Was thinking of buying and selling this unit. Pretty sure it will be real cheap.
Haven't seen it yet.. But assuming it's in good condition.. How much can I sell it for on a very quick sale?
Thanks

Well.. went to the auction.. was from the county.
some furniture was missing, floor was dirty, one slide must have been off track.. clicked when trying to move it.. no batteries, awninings where wasted. But other than that .. in good shape.
I bid it to 12500.. and dropped it on the other guy.. he got it for 12750.. plus 10% buyer fee . plus tax if he has to pay it.
I was thinking 12.. put 3k in it.. sell it at 25k.. But that would be 6k over Glenn's.. However, I seen 3-4 of these in the 30-40k range..
It's over.. it;s gone.. but it was fun..lol

Way you check for rotten floor on slides is to push up on bottom of floor of slide from outside. if it gives it rotten. Also slides won't work without battery. The electric controls and motor are run on 12 volts so you can camp without electric hook up. It is hard to find a used camper of any age that is in good shape. Most owners don't take care of them and water intrusion occurs.

No rot here.. dry . Sun damage, plastic, rubber, vinyl.. etc..
under the thing was like brand new.. they all are here.. If they are from here..
was nice.. could have flipped it.. but have 30 days to get all my stuff sold.. and I have ALOT of stuff. So if I could make 10k.. for sure.. then I was out.

How the rot gets in the slides is water wicking in at bottom. People neglect the sealant on the bottom where the slide meets floor. Rain, run down side, wood soak it up.
