Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Ginger, our terrific 2 year old black lab is always the one who greets people first. She is a terrific traveler. As her human parents, we (Sterling and I) are enjoying our new 2015 Forest River Sunseeker 3050s. It is our third RV in 3 years. To me the story sounds like Goldilock's trials. The 17' TT did not have a walk-around bed; the 27' TT was not easy to back up for my husband. The Class C, Sunseeker, is just right. We have taken 3 trips and it handles extremely well. I love the layout, which has lots of well organized storage room.
Sterling and I enjoy being retired. The usual comment is "we are too busy to work.' How true. We live in Newington, CT where we have our vegetable garden is in the front yard, behind our perennial flower gardens. This year we changed the design of the vegetable gardens to square-foot gardening, employing Lee Reich's principles of improving the soil, not turning it over. We have about 160 square feet of vegetables and produce is prolific. Yesterday we picked green beans, blanched, and froze. We came home in time to pick strawberries and cherries at a Glastonbury, CT farm.
Sterling hikes weekly with friends. I am studying classical guitar with Judy Handler, and play in 2 performance groups. I carry a guitar with me when we travel, to practice and perhaps to play with a new friend. Ginger is a very happy 2 1/2 year old black lab. She is a wonderful companion to us both. Her day is complete if she gets to run, fetch, even play in her wading pool.
We enjoyed a 3 1/2 week trip this year to southern Ontario. We started in Thousand Islands, NY, where we camped at Kring Point SP. What a lovely park on the St. Lawrence Seaway. We watch many large ships go by. Then we spent two weeks exploring in Canada. We camped at Galvin Bay Campground and rented a car to do our exploring. Canadians were so friendly and the area is just beautiful. Our favorite was Canadian Canoe Museum. This very well laid out museum chronicles the exploration and settlement of Canada and role the canoe and help from the natives. We really enjoyed our visit to First Nation Ojibwa Center. Artwork is outstanding.
Together we share seven sons, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grands. The camper provides us a very comfortable way to see them all. We look forward to many years of traveling and meeting new friends. This forum is very well designed. Thank you. We are planning to attend our first rally in Elkhart, IN in September. Hope to meet people and learn lots.
Thank you for asking for a picture of Ginger. It seems we take pics of her all the time. One of the most amusing is when she gets into the passenger or driver's seat, while one of us is out of the RV. People walking by ask who is driving? I am going to have to really study how to insert a pic. LATER.....

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You will find this to be a good source of information about both RV's and the RV'ing lifestyle. It's also a good place for encouragement.
As for posting pictures, look in the "Guidelines and Suggestions" category at the top of the forums. One of the threads there is entitled "Guidelines Regarding Embedding Photos into Forum Posts" that was created using Photobucket as the photo sharing website. And yes, the title of the thread about embedding photos is an active link to take you there. The main thing to remember is to be careful of how big of an image you are uploading to Photobucket. If it is too large, it widens the forum page, forcing one to scroll back and forth to read the text or see all of the photo.

Ginger says "Woof, woof" hello. This week she received her first skunk spray. The experience has moderated her enthusiastic run into our woods. At least we know what to do next time. I will add a gallon of vinegar to the RV "basement" supplies. Also Oxyclean to soak her collar..
