Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Country Boy RV Park. Just north of Homer AK right in the middle of the Halibut territory. This park is the best deal in AK at only $15 per night for full hook ups (Passport America)....no restrictions. Stay as long as you like.
But the best part is the owner Chuck. He says he hates RV parks with restrictions on this and that, and doesn't like dirty coaches, he says go ahead and clean em up (this is a first for AK). All he asks is if you make a mess - clean it up. He told me "this is your home while here, so do what you have to do".
Matter of fact when you check in Chuck said "with all there is do here and we don't know how long you'll stay so just pay me when you leave".
El Rojo shoots.... he SCORES!!!!!!! Great find. I can see the plans forming in a lot of peoples minds now. The owner will have them lined up out the entrance and down the road. You'll have to lets us know what the "so much to do around here" is.... so the rest of us can make sure we are properly outfitted for it when we head north. I hear MarkS gearjammin' already
Sounds like a perfect park for you two and I'll bet ya'll hit it off right away. Chuck sounds like a keeper! We're so glad you're loving your Alaska trip and we're just a little envious.
Sherry

Chuck is the owner. He built the campground 19 years ago. It is for sale if anyone is interested but there is no new management, just a change in attitude.
Welcome aboard Chuck. I'm looking forward to making your acquaintance within the next year or so. Our trip to Alaska is high in our priorities. Save me a good spot.

X2... though it'll be a few more years for us. Mark might still be camped out there if the Frozen North hasn't driven him off by then We'll see how much he "really" wants to head for the wild up there for any kind of long term adventure.
